(PRESS RELEASE) — Leading provider of award-winning turnkey sports betting solutions, SBTech, has signed an exclusive deal with Serbia’s leading sports betting operator, MaxBet, to provide them with their state of the art sports betting software. MaxBet boasts over 150 betting shops in more than 30 cities throughout Serbia, as well as further afield in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Romania. The deal will see SBTech replacing MaxBet’s current system with a high performing sports betting platform for their land based operations, allowing the Serbian sports betting operator to provide their bettors with a much wider variety of sports, leagues and bet types, as well as the ability to enjoy an upgraded live betting experience with more than 8,000 monthly live events. In addition, MaxBet’s signing with SBTech will allow them to successfully penetrate the online and mobile markets once regulation permits it.

“We’re delighted to have MaxBet as our customer and we’re pleased they’ve chosen SBTech to provide them with industry leading sports betting software for their land based betting shop operations,” says SBTech CEO, Itai Zak. “It’s a fantastic move for the Serbian sports betting operator that will allow them to offer their customers a much richer sports betting experience, including a wider range of live betting opportunities. We’ll also provide them with the means to access the competitive markets of online and mobile with our industry leading solutions, which will undoubtedly allow them to hit the ground running once regulation allows it.”

The deal also marks another important acquisition for SBTech, following their previous deals in the regulated land based and betting shop market with Albanian leader Xhoilloto, top Nigerian operator Betland, and well-known European operator BetShop.

“As a veteran bookmaker we know exactly what it takes to run a successful land based betting shop operation and it’s clear that SBTech have the industry experience and technical expertise we need to take our business to the next level and join the market’s front-runners,” says Saša Marceta, CEO at MaxBet. “SBTech are the leaders in their field and have a great deal of experience and track record of success when it comes to regulatory compliance, top performing sports betting solutions for land based operations and online and mobile betting platforms and we’re confident this deal will result in a richer sports betting experience for both our current and potential new customers.”
