Hill Partners Takes SPIELO International and GTECH G2 to G2E 2012 with Multi-section Double-deck Exhibit

11/15/2012

Hill Partners, Inc. took long-time client SPIELO International to G2E (Global Gaming Expo) 2012 with a prominent 70×90 double-deck booth that drew wide attention during the October 2-4 show held at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The creative team at Hill Partners designed and managed the powerful custom rental Branded Environment, showcased at the prestigious conference dedicated to the latest trends in design and development in the gaming industry.

The two-story exhibit featured fully branded overhead banners and integrated more than 30 monitors displaying a wide range of content specific to SPIELO International and GTECH G2. With offices located around the world, SPIELO International is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of high performance and innovative games, gaming machines, game software, and central system solutions for distributed government-sponsored markets, commercial casino markets, Amusement with Prize (AWP) markets, sports betting, iGaming and mobile gaming markets as a result of integration with GTECH G2.

A massive 16 x 20 foot LED video wall suspended from the convention center’s ceiling placed a dramatic spotlight on the SPIELO International property, which was divided into five distinct sections: North American Casino; International Casino; iGaming; the Lottery vignette; and the Players’ Lounge.

A lounge area showcased four of SPIELO International’s licensed Pop-Cap® games. The themed environment was fronted by a vignette of a modern residential living room to convey the evolution of gaming from arcades and other public settings to the privacy of homes.

The theme of a separate bar area – where drinks and refreshments were served to attendees – was based on the game Zuma™. The game Bejeweled™ was also represented within the bar space by two gaming machines that allowed up to eight users to concurrently participate in a live game.

The popular Plants vs. Zombies™ game was represented by a Victorian themed living room complete with picture frames that moved in zombie-like fashion. Faux windows looked out into a yard scene where zombies roamed by. SPIELO International took good advantage of the popularity of Plants vs. Zombies™ by leveraging its brand recognition with a flash mob during the event’s opening morning. A small group of dancers dressed as plants and zombie characters milled around the entrance of the trade show hall, performing a dance routine. Buzz was created as crowds gathered to watch the brief show; a short while later the same characters cleared space in a main aisle fronting the SPIELO International exhibit and as curious onlookers gathered, a flash mob broke out with more than 50 dancers participating.

In addition, the SPIELO International Branded Environment included an online poker tournament hosted by GTECH G2. Hill Partners constructed a ten-person poker table where players used computers to access the Internet to play tournament rounds on GTECH G2’s new instant poker client. Live tournament action was also displayed on an 80 inch monitor at the head of the poker table. Games were scheduled throughout the first two days of the trade show, with a celebrity poker player making a well-received appearance.

The two-story property was additionally highlighted by eight meeting rooms, a custom reception counter, LED lighting that showed SPIELO International customers from around the world, internally lit cube lights and a myriad of appealing suspended signage.

Michael McMahon, President and CEO of Hill Partners, Inc. said, “Our long-term relationship with this leading, global company allows us the opportunity to consistently provide attractive and engaging properties that showcase the SPIELO International brand to domestic and international audiences.”
