Next week’s Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) will see some 140 exhibitors showing off their latest products to the gaming industry, including new solutions from the likes of GTECH, Bally Technologies, IGT and SBTech.

The eighth edition of the annual three-day event takes place between May 20th and 22nd at The Venetian Macau. It will feature a new iGaming Summit for the first time and a host of industry leaders taking part including MGM China co-chair and executive director Pansy Ho.

GTECH is set to showcase several new products from its Spielo Casino Systems solution and Spielo slot gaming product portfolios, including its JP2go turnkey jackpot solution and Rub4Riches on-screen scratch card product.

“We have continuously increased our presence here in Asia and are very pleased to bring our greatest and most innovative products to G2E Asia and to the market,” said Chiang Lai Fatt, GTECH general manager for Casino Systems in Asia.

The company will also introduce its Sphinx 3D game and two popular PopCap titles at G2E Asia – Plants vs. Zombies Gargantuar and Plants vs. Zombies Backyard Showdown.

sports betting software provider SBTech will be among the exhibitors at this year’s event, showcasing its live betting and mobile offering as well as its recently launched Asian facing solution.

The new Asian platform is available for online and mobile channels and includes an interface that has been specifically designed to address Asian customers’ preferences. It also includes an advanced agent and network management system, a full suite of back office tools that allow networks to manage their own risk and profit, and full coverage of all popular Asian bet types such as Asian handicap and over/under betting options.

“Asian punters now expect the convenience of a modern, intuitive and user friendly front end which features all popular Asian bet types as well as single wallet sign on across sports betting and casino,” said SBTech CEO Itai Zak.

Bally Technologies will feature a large selection of table game products and video slots for the Asian market, with more than 40 unique game titles to be featured at the event, including newly launched branded game Titanic.

“G2E Asia is the perfect venue to showcase our full array of new content, including table game products, since our acquisition of SHFL entertainment last November, “said Srini Raghavan, Bally Technologies’ senior vice president of Asia, India, and South Africa. “Visitors to our booth will see that Bally is committed to serving the needs of the Asia-Pacific market.”

Bally’s interactive exhibit will feature its full suite of iGaming and mobile solutions, which are designed to give casinos a single view of the player across online, mobile, and traditional brick-and-mortar gaming platforms.

Meanwhile, IGT will demonstrate its systems offerings that highlight unique player engagement and floor optimization capabilities for casinos in Asia and beyond. The company will release a number of new games including San Xing Bao: Lucky Dragon, Dragon Fairy, Jade Fortune, Harmony Riches and Lucky Chin, as well as systems including the IGT Table Manager and sbX Floor Manager.

“IGT has utilized extensive market research to formulate game themes that resonate with players in the Asian region, and we’re driving excitement and engagement with regionally attuned art, game concepts and math models,” said Eric Tom, IGT executive vice president of Global Sales. “Our systems provide another area where we excel, enabling dynamic floor management and enhanced player connections like nobody else can.”

Also at the event will be Evolution Gaming’s Gionata La Torre, vice president of business development and CEO of the company’s Italian business.

He will be speaking as part of the ‘Counting on Convergence’ panel on Thursday, where the role of mergers and acquisitions in developing cross-sector synergies will be discussed.

La Torre will focus on how organic convergence is already increasing player sessions, value and loyalty, and he will explore the many benefits that flow from the crossover of traditional land-based casino operations and an integrated, strongly branded online live casino offering.

La Torre will reference the Spanish Ruleta En Vivo service, which is delivered from within the land-based Casino Rincon de Pepe in Murcia, and also Casinó Campione d’Italia, where Evolution is readying an in-venue live casino studio for launch in June.

“In Spain convergence is being driven, in part, by regulations,” said La Torre. “However, what is happening at Casinó Campione is part of a clear operator strategy to offer the most exciting cross-promotional opportunities and to attract more visitors to a stunning land-based location.

“It is a defining moment in land-based and online convergence and a development that other land-based venues will be following with great interest.”
